The Golden Post & One Lovely Blog Award!

Hooray, I’ve made it to fifty blog posts! You may have noticed that I am still blogging about meals enjoyed a few months ago so there’s plenty more posts where they came from. I do not eat out every day yet seem to constantly have a healthy backlog of visited places to write about. Well, better to have more fodder to write about than none at all!

And if making it to fifty posts was not encouragement enough, recently the lovely Jacq from Penguin Says Feed Me was kind enough to include me in her list of recipients for the ‘One Lovely Blog Award’. This is very special to me as this blog is still very much in its infancy and to know there are people, especially people whom I do not know personally, who enjoy reading it is such a confidence booster. Click here to see whose esteemed company I shared, and while you’re there have a read through Jacq’s posts as well. She has a sweet and succinct writing style that is most refreshing from the waffle-on of yours truly. (Forgive me, I am a Virgo and I just cannot help being the way I am.)

According to the rules of this award I must accept it, post it on my blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and their blog link. (Easy!) I then have to pass the award onto eight other blogs that I have recently discovered. (That requires a bit of picking and choosing.) I also need to remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award. (Makes absolute sense.)

So after a healthy amount of deliberation – drumroll, please – here are my chosen eight (in no particular order):

As far as I can tell, none of the above have been previous recipients of the ‘One Lovely Blog Award’ and I hope I have not been stupidly blind and done so. Not sure what happens if that’s the case…

Thank you for reading and supporting this blog, and thank you once again to Jacq for giving me this award. I am one of those strange people who enjoy writing, reviewing and editing their writing, and formatting the piece as well as things such as photos to go with it. I hope my words and pictures bring as much entertainment and enjoyment to you as experiencing them first hand does for me.

happy reading!

  1. Madmoiselle- I am so chuffed! Thank you very much. I don't even know what to say! Congratulations on your award and thank you so much for thinking of me. Do you have extra rules about this little blog award? i.e. when do I have to pick my own blog award recipients?

  2. Congratulations on reaching 50 posts! A momentous milestone! And a backlog seems to be part and parcel of being a foodblogger :)

  3. Happy 50th post! Thank you for all the kind words you said about me and I must admit I love your writing style even if you think it's waffle-y ;) Looking forward to reading more of your amazing foodie adventures =D

  4. WOW! Thanks so much for the award, Mademoiselle :)

This is my first every blog award, so I'm very chuffed to be a recipent.

Happy 50 posts to you :)

    xxx Anna (aka Ladybird)

  5. Hurrah for 50 posts. That is definitely cake-worthy. And thank you for the awarding, that is very sweet of you!

  6. Hey Gastronomy Gal! You're most welcome =) The rules for the award are limited to those above and there's no time limit indicated for when you need to pick your award recipients, nor when you need to post it by. From memory I spent 2 or 3 weeks, so no pressure!

Hi Helen, thanks! Haha, yes, the big 5-0 =p And thank goodness for healthy backlogs!

Hi Jacq! Thank you =) And you're most welcome - I absolutely mean what I say. Mmmm, waffles...

Hey Anna! (Although Ladybird is so cute!) Thank you =) You're very welcome and I look forward to seeing who you choose to pass the award on to.

Hi LeeTran, I might save the cake for when I hit 100 posts...! You're most welcome for the award and I'm wondering whether you'll celebrate by having cake? =p
